The Story of Father Michael J. McGivney

Father Michael J. McGivney, a parish priest in New Haven, Connecticut founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882 to provide financial support for families facing hardship and to foster a sense of community among Catholic men. Inspired by the struggles of his parishioners, he envisioned an organization that would uphold the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity.

His vision blossomed into the Knights of Columbus, now one of the world's largest Catholic fraternal organizations serving others and strengthening the bonds of faith and brotherhood.
