Charity is the cornerstone of the Knights of Columbus across the country and we are equally dedicated to making a positive impact in the Sarasota community through a variety of charitable initiatives. We organize an annual Thanksgiving dinner, serving over 800 meals to the homeless and needy, and host events like the Lenten Fish Fry to raise funds for local charities.
Our council also participates in the Baltimore Orioles Spring Training concessions and the Laps for Life 5K run, with proceeds supporting various local causes. Through these efforts, the council not only provides essential support to those in need but also fosters a strong sense of community in Sarasota.
Joining our council means becoming part of a close-knit brotherhood within the Knights of Columbus, where members support each other like family. This council is more than just an organization; it's a community where men come together to watch over one another, share in faith, and work collectively for the greater good. Members are engaged in various charitable activities that not only benefit those in need but also strengthen the bonds of camaraderie and mutual respect.
By participating in such events, members experience the fulfillment that comes from serving others and making a tangible difference in the local community. Through these shared experiences, the council fosters a spirit of unity and brotherhood, enriching the lives of its members and those they serve.
